Very strange - you could make up any number of conspiracy theories about this but as Mozza says, whatever is going on I hope it's in our favour!
Looks like there should be some shares available in the morning for anybody who wants to buy though, as apparently you could buy 10k at the close.
I reckon the MMs went begging the IIs for a few shares so they could make the market! ;)
So it actually makes it stranger, that Blackrock have been selling (yesterday for certain and possibly before that) but yet that it was from yesterday that you could hardly buy anything.
There's something not quite square about all of this.
Now it might be that any fund raise has been constructed in such a way so that Blackrock had to reduce a bit, going into it, but equally if they new of one, wouldn't that make them inside, meaning they couldn't trade prior to it?
One way or another something isn't adding up here. I just hope it works out in our favour.
Yes they briefly opened up the market there at the end and you could buy in reasonable quantity for the first time all day.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings!
haha yeah just now before the close you could buy on open market for 92p... crazy
The website has shown Blackrock holding 14.48% for a few months now.
Today they reckon they've gone from 14.53% to 13.97%.
Why are they f**king around with trading small amounts of shares? Or have they just making sure they have the correct number recorded pre-deal?
Yep, not a lot of shares is issue.
10,000 shares for 91.9p available to buy right now
So Blackrock sold about 56k shares and crossed the threshold yesterday.
The plot thickens
RNS Holdings. Blackrock have reduced their holding slightly. The strange goings on continue!
what a strange day again.... I'm intrigued to see what will the mm do tomorrow, no idea why they at least didn't move the bid above 84p today.....
And my original post is back. No idea what was going on there.
For some reason my reply never got posted/was taken down.
I was going to say that I agree with you and we should be cautious with getting too excited here, but I do think there's a key difference between this time and in early July when we had a big move up:
In July you could at least buy stock, it did go to negotiated trade, but it was nothing like as bad as it has been this time around, where it has remained NT even after reasonable sells.
This time seems different, but perhaps that's wishful thinking on my part.
Very true, Paul. I think it's wise to be sensible and not get too excited.
However, I think that the biggest difference between where we are today and early July is that people could actually buy in July with normal market orders. Yes, it went NT from time to time, but here we've now had nearly two whole trading sessions with it being NT to buy at market.
There's something about the dynamic this time around that makes me think there's something else going on here.
Try a Fill or Kill order if you would like to buy. Some people have had success that way but only small amounts now it seems.
We did have a load of excitement here last spring only for it to fizzle out and come to nothing so I'm not counting any chickens yet.
Anyone buying now I think is stuck routing via fill or kill at normal market size (3000 shares I think).
Hopefully it's like this because there's a deal leaking, rather than because of just some mess up with the stock
Not invested here but the Twitterati have caught my interest with LBE
I cant even buy £1 worth
Very pleased for all of you on the inside of this one.
I'm anticipating the rocket gif's on Twitter shortly ;-)
Somebody managed to pick up 116 at 92p, but yes I can’t get a quote for any more than 2 shares.
Still NT for anymore than 2 shares! This is getting ridiculous!
Well as a longish term holder here I would be very pleased if that’s the case. Just hope it’s not a false dawn. It’s certainly interesting either way!
Paul the bid wouldn’t be higher because they want cheap shares. They want us to sell at 82-84p knowing it’s going much higher.
The deal is agreed in my opinion. It’s just a matter of time.
so I guess that's it for trading today :D
If that was the case wouldn’t they bid more than 84.5p?
Interesting speculation though.
Agreed mozza. The fundraise will be greater than £1 for sure hence they not letting us buy any at current price.
This has a deal written on it 100%. Ive never seen anything like this before.
Something is brewing ..... and it’s not your average cup of tetleys let me tell ya lol.
Come on mm. Give us £1 ask. I know your reading this ;))
I wonder if LBE are doing a fundraise as we speak and a load of market makers had subscribed for stock that they haven't been allocate, so they might know there's a deal coming, but have no stock to sell to people.
