IN BRIEF: Longboat says Japex JV farms-down Norwegian licences
Longboat Energy PLC - exploration and production company, active in Norway and Malaysia - Announces completion of farm-down of two exploration licences on the Norwegian continental shelf by Longboat Japex Norge AS through an agreement with Concedo AS. Longboat Japex is a joint venture between Longboat and Japan Petroleum Exploration Co Ltd. Longboat has farmed down its interest in the PL1182S licence to 15% from 30% in return for a full carry of the Lotus exploration well. The well is expected to spud in the third quarter of 2024. Longboat has also farmed down its interest in the PL1049 licence to 25% from 40% in return for Concedo carrying a portion of the company's 2024 exploration expenditure.

Longboat Energy PLC - exploration and production company, active in Norway and Malaysia - Announces it has been awarded a 20% interest in licence PL 1212 S which contains the Magnolia prospect, together with partners Equinor Energy AS (operator) 40% and DNO Norge AS (40%). Estimates Magnolia to contain gross mean prospective resources of 39 millions of barrels of oil equivalent with further potential upside estimated at 57 mmboe. Puts the chance of success associated with the Magnolia prospect at 34% with the key risk being hydrocarbon retention and phase.

Longboat Energy PLC - exploration and production company, active in Norway and Malaysia - Completes acquisition of privately held Topaz Number One Ltd, thereby increasing its working interest in the production sharing contract over Block 2A offshore Sarawak, Malaysia to 52.5%. Longboat now holds an operated 52.5% interest in Block 2A, offshore Sarawak Malaysia, containing the "giant" Kertang prospect. The transaction was announced in September.

IN BRIEF: Longboat states production at Statfjord Øst lower than hoped
Longboat Energy PLC - exploration and production company, active in Norway and Malaysia - Reports the fourth of five new infill wells in Statfjord Ost has now been successfully drilled. Project execution is on track with the Statfjord Ost and Sygna fields expected to be fully on stream from all wells early in the new year. The transaction is progressing towards completion, which is expected in January. But, initial production for 2023 is estimated to be around 250 barrels of oil equivalent per day net to Longboat, which is slightly lower than anticipated mainly due to a delay in bringing the new wells on stream. Production is expected to increase significantly early in 2024 when all wells will be brought on stream.

Longboat Energy PLC - Norway and Malaysia-focused full-cycle exploration and production company - Notes announcement by Equinor Energy AS that production has started at the Statfjord Ost project in the North Sea, six months ahead of schedule. Statjord Ost is operated by Stavanger, Norway-based oil and gas explorer Equinor. Longboat holds a 4.8% interest in the project area. Production is expected to increase by 26 million barrels of oil equivalent. Adds that two new wells have been drilled from subsea templates and three more wells are expected to be drilled.
