fairly straight forward answers :)
which bit do you not understand?
Stupid id10t you don't have answers to my queries, so you are asking me to dig your post!
Read my previous posts as to explanation - fairly straightforward
The rights issue has the support of the largest shareholder, and now been confirmed by the company.
I don't think so. Do you know how quickly sentiment changes? What if sp rises to 350p by 8th Sept and RI scrapped altogether or RI set at 330p? What will happen to your shorts which are under water even at current price of 191p?
Why do you think sp has to drop for RI? News of RI is already out when sp was in 160s, still it managed to recover to 195p, why?
@anapa69
Posts will have no effect on SP.
The rights issue will have a huge effect on the SP
Why few people are so desparate to post anything negative about IAG? Do they think their stupid comments will affect sp direction up or down?....
IAG won't go bankrupt - that's the point of the rights issue to protect the business and major invested shareholders, in time the business will recover.
But first it's going down, that's the catch. 85p - 95p post rights issue. This appears inevitable.
"Which part of this do people not understand?"
Which part of "may" do you not understand? Why are you posting with a heading that says it is here to stay when the article says it may be here to stay?
Which part of "The WHO has done a fabulous job of proving it is not infallible" do you not understand?
Which part of "People adjust" do you not understand? We have flu every year, never eradicated, the common cold, measles, and a whole host of infections diseases which have never been eradicated. Some of them are deadly or become deadly for people with underlying conditions. Amazingly, those diseases don't stop people from flying, don't stop people from going to work, to restaurants, to pubs, to churches. Eventually the world shrugs and says, "Going to live my life."
If you think that won't happen before IAG goes bust, you should short it. If you think that either we'll get sufficient cures and treatments, or that the world will finally just decide to live with it and get on with life, then it makes sense to buy IAG.
But don't act as if people who don't see it your way are idiots who can't understand. Chances are, we're right and you're wrong. But go for it and put your money on shorts if that's what you really believe, and maybe you'll be right and get rich while we lose a few quid. I won't wish you good luck on your short but will wish you good luck on the rest of your life.
Oceanpassage thanks for that information.
Publishing something from the BBC from 14th May has made me sell my shares, thanks for the "on the pulse" information and for letting me beat the mad selling rush.
Which part of this do people not understand?
And of course the long time spread of coronavirus would be disastrous for many businesses
It would make sense to.
Rights issue will massively dilute shareholders and the money will be used to mitigate cash burn and debt.
An obvious set of conditions to destroy shareholder value and open a short position
Cute, this sudden splurge of posting makes me think someone opened a short on Spreadex
