There is no point looking at past performance. Almost all industries are fxxked in last 4-5 months. Look into the future. TUI has 2.4b cash/credit facility available with solid backing from german govt. Should cash neutral by Q4 2020, so monthly cash burn of about 230m would disappear. Holiday booking for 2021 is strong.
Not sure why german govt is more favourable to TUI than Lufthansa. Lufhtansa had to pay 20% shares to german govt for 8b rescue package! But for tui no such terms, just 150m worth of bonds.
Remember it is not additional debt. TUI will use it only if required. So possibility of raising money through share holders is reduced. Being govt loan, I am sure there will be flexible terms when it comes to repaying it. Might hit 425p today.
Hope it continues march to 365-370 by Wednesday. If results are good, then jump to 425-440 by Thursday. Further improvement in overall sentiment in travel/tourism sector pushes it to 500-535 by end of month/early Sept.....simples!
This is my wishful thinking. Let us see how it goes.
RE: WHO / BBC - Coronavirus here to stay06 Aug 2020 09:30
I don't think so. Do you know how quickly sentiment changes? What if sp rises to 350p by 8th Sept and RI scrapped altogether or RI set at 330p? What will happen to your shorts which are under water even at current price of 191p? Why do you think sp has to drop for RI? News of RI is already out when sp was in 160s, still it managed to recover to 195p, why?

Republican senators back extending $25 billion payroll aid for U.S. airlines; shares jump David Shepardson WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A group of Senate Republicans on Wednesday backed extending a $25 billion payroll assistance program for U.S. airlines after warnings that carriers may be forced to cut tens of thousands of jobs without government action, according to a letter seen by Reuters.
I feel sorry for new faces on this bb who have listened to nasty id10its like whata mess and sold their holding at loss. Stock market is not the place where you can make money and become rich in short term. You need to be patient with your investment and set the target that you want to achieve. As long as you have made good choice to put your money in a sound company then one shouldn't bother about day to day movements. Also you shouldn't be making your buying/selling decisions based on comments from few silly people on public bb.
