ODR ...you have seen the doc released as true Arbi doc and I have not so you have me at a disadvantage.
Having said that there has been no conformation from any reliable / impartial body that it is genuine and a true reflection of the judgement .
Zaza has repeatedly used the confidential info angle as a reason not to publish doc in full.
You point out that the leaked doc, which you have said on a number of occasions you think is genuine , does not show any sensitive info .
Why do you think Georgians have not countered Zaza’s public statements with ....what confidential/ sensitive info are you referring to , there isn’t any .
Madpunter, nice researched and reasoned reply. TSB, you’ve been “schooled “
ill be ready in georgia conducting an exit poll on election night
we ll see
tsbs1 - The people of Georgia protested last Summer until the GD agreed a new electoral system with PR. Then in the Autumn the GD reneged and weren't going to use the PR system for this year's election, but the next election. The people protested again and with pressure from Uncle Sam and the EU the new PR system was ratified in law in the Spring.
Recent polls have given the GD 39% of the vote, which would equate to 59 of the 150 seats available, giving the united opposition the majority ( 120 seats with PR and the remaining 30 with majority vote). However, as all bar one party in the united opposition have agreed to one nominated candidate for most of the majority seats, then it is likely that the united opposition will win more than 61% of the majority vote seats. Therefore, while still uncertain, it is far from 'there's very little chance of regime change' and it's more likely probable than a 'long shot'.
mad
i dont spend my life believing everything is as it should be
pr sytem, oh well thats it done and dusted then how could i ever doubt it :-)
tsbs1 - As the election will be conducted with the new PR system, why do you think there's little chance of regime change?
at the moment its pie in the sky
theres very little chance of regime change so if thats what we are hoping for then its a long shot
then there the small matter of what the liquidators are going to do and then the outrider debt repayment
Regdik: there are no SMs mentioned in the arbitration ruling (well not that I saw; very happy to be corrected). In fact there is no sensitive data. Zaza is playing a dangerous bull**** game, but he has no option. If he agreed to the ruling release then we would be history as far as Georgia is concerned. The fortunate fact is that the US is clearly trying to direct regime change and Zaza is the most enabling pawn in that quest.

IMHO BP and a possible consortium was unlikely to be negotiated last year when the arbitration was still ongoing and only the old CPR's were available. After the elections (hopefully with the GD defeated) then FRR may be able to obtain a new PSA, plus possibly some or all of the returned sections of Block 12. IMHO then FRR will be able to update the CPR and negotiate a deal with the SM's.
IMHO the two American companies are BHGE (which was valued around $23bn last November, when the meeting in Georgia was to take place) and Green Capital LLC (the company who signed a Farm Out Agreement when Block 12 was transferred in exchange for a 5% Royalty Interest).
If the SM’s mentioned in the Arb docs are American there are three with a Market Cap in the 20B’s (BH is 13B)
Phillips 66 – 24.87B
EOG resources – 23.47B
Valero Energy – 20B (refining) so these are not a fit
If the two add up 20B then BH and Apache oil would be my guess as both have good connections with BP.
However that was 2019 values and most now have taken a big hit on value. A lot of high $ spend projects will have been put back on the shelf and lower cost quick wins will be now being dusted off. If Georgia has the gas and BP have a route to market nearby then we can se why both sides are fighting for control of this area.
I hope the US/ZaZa pact is solid enough to pull this out of the fire and not let those with other agenda’s win.
I think someone put on here ages ago who it could of been,a list of all the posibilities
Wonderful choice Coggy, simply wonderful. Now, where is the bottle of Latour 1990 Magnum.
