Old news GKB:-)
I'd go with Pelle's link. That has a more immediate and discernable relation to spot oil prices...
Whats driving the oil price today?
Yes but when with the sp reflect this? Today was a great update we all know the future looks bright but the reaction today is an absolute shambles. Poo just about to hit $64 and is on its way to $70.
Today wasn't want we hoped for but it was a bad day for the markets in general - with Brent looking bullish again I can see no reason why we shouldn't see a much better response tomorrow and into next week - patience as always is the key.
Politics is also interfering in our world with the news that the main opposition party in the UK will impose extra taxes on North Sea Oil if it gets elected and raise Capital Gains Tax to 50%. We must also consider what would happen if Scotland became an independent nation with more taxes for North Sea Oil and mabe even nationalization possible.
SP reaction has by far outstripped my pessimistic expectation again.
A very frustrated krak I see !!
2020 will see an increase in SP but not this year.
Sorry for a deramp to all super rampers but 17p will be revisted by Xmas ??
P - I was hoping for the same.....get guidance out for nx year......try to get the market excited somewhat.
As you say ?? until nx March
Hi Mavrick
So this thistle/Heather makes 3,5k down full year
Some natural declines old fields, down 3k?
Kraken, up 5k net next year?
Scolty, up 3-5k next year?
Magnus /malaysia up 5k combined.
I guess prod must go up 5k or something total roughly
Would been easier if they confirmed it, now its just waiting again
A very good CMD indeed. Even heard BD say "the coming dacades". I believe the company is now focusing on the future rather than its survival. Finances are looking really solid at 68500boepd compared to 37- or 55kboepd.
The game has changed in the last 12 months. Really looking forward to the comming 12 months and beyond.
Carbon capture and all this footprint blx will be the next crypto currency, someone will turn it into an index to be hedged, easyjet alone will fill up all the spare land with trees and the homeless can live in them along with all the migrants. Maybe Enquest can pump all the CO2 into the wells to purge them. Seems the focus is on cars and taxing people who fly, they really need to look around them and see all the other things that need fuel, diggers, cranes, earth movers the list is endless and they will never be electric.
Pelle do you see production increasing next year? With thistle out 7k production I believe they said will be offline up to 6 months.
more exciting to follow oil price graph last hour.
Looks like AB will be right back to work next week and buy more shares sub 20p.
Doubt we get any new SP tagets based on this, sit back and wait for March and get 2020 guidance.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
.....and I forgot our best of class in managing end of life fields. AB started as an engineer and gained invaluable experience at Atlantic Richfield and Petrofac. I couldn't care less that we are at the messy end of the oil industry. We are ideally placed for whatever direction the green movement, carbon capture etc.. goes. Even the cost of zero carbon will probably mean oil is still, as dense energy, more economic than renewables. Our base strengthens by the day.
It was excellent. I imagine L7 and ProdOpt understood it better than most (Engineers). Short cycle, high return - sounds like shale but we do have a better ON/OFF switch than many of our competitors. Maureen not in reservoir figures (could be a big one). BD mentioned 'movable oil' which I prefer to STOIIP. AB states our performance matches any sector. I took that to mean not just oil. We are robust because of our spread of assets [BP must have plenty of Thistle type events but it hardly effects the price.] Relaxed about bond debt as almost 4 years away and we only pay coupon so the price is irrelevant to EnQuest in some sense.
Downers: No Martin Houston, could we be vulnerable at this market cap?
Shareholder returns after next acquisition , ie Malaysia gas block bidding round coming up next year ? Or year after . Allocate capex , (couldn’t hear ) say $150m , then divs , so look at it in 2022. By then the balance sheet would be very strong anyway .
Go I get it right that?
Magnus will go from 18k prod to 22k over next 2-3 years
Malaysia 15k to 25k over next 4-5 years
What did they answer about shareholder returns? Bit difficult hear
I can see them all now sprinting out the door and screaming through the orders. "Buy" that is.
GLAXXX
What a waist of time to be quite honest, another year of bad broker ratings, poor PR and stagnating SP.
Soon be Christmas xx
I thought was very solid CMD...
Did whet the palette a bit, but no-one asked about Scolty...
Cheers all, MO
Where do the brokerage houses find these analysts? Based on the sp development during the CMD Amjad could have been talking about his summer holiday........... WTF?
