MrStrongViolent - if all of the gGroupthink group remember that the Thailand Launch Event was posted just a few days ago on this very BB...then why spend most of yesterday speculating on this very BB whether the Thailand launch actually happened ?
So who are the ones with short term memory impairment ?
Confirms my assertion that most of your gang can neither write, count or get dates right.
You are beyond a joke......pretty pathetic really.
I am truly delighted to be on your Filtered list and not to hear from you again:)
Lol, don’t you remember silly’s post then imp? I remember you getting touchy around dementia as well. I’ve taken your advice and filtered, not because of the tripe, more to do with the grandiose delusions.
Try again MrStrongViolent - have you posted any thing more than a few lines of matter relevant to CYAN ?
It's all endless posts about how awful the company is. Why stay invested (if at all you have invested?)
And if all I post is tripe, why not use the free to use filter button and save yourself from my rubbish ?
Why don't you all follow the groupthink of leader ColourBounce and filter me ?
Wouldn't that be a great idea ?
Maybe you have reading difficulties imp, silly posted that link 10 days ago. Mug of the highest order, but we know that, you’ve declared you put about £100k+into this lemon many years ago. As you say, as ye sow....
MrStrongViolent,
Part of the crew that can neither write, think or count or DYOR !
Or has any clue of technology or investments !!
Down on numbers ? Speak for yourself as to how much this investment is critical for you....I am totally relaxed :)
Mysore canopy v Indian nation square meters. Nothing in it.
Hello Colour.. I should have looked myself not relied on LTI. Lazyitis. Not sure if CC has the supply and fit or just supply to L+T for INDORE. If I remember rightly CC lead for ENZEN in Mysore and that was the first showcase success.
See attached, early 19 for INDORE.
https://mailchi.mp/f8e5a652e5d2/delivering-one-of-the-largest-rf-based-smart-metering-projects-in-india-improving-billing-efficiency-from-10-to-30.
Again only my thoughts but I see the possibility for an IoT matrix across India. Whether it could be done who knows. Mainly numbers involved and what it was required for.
You thought it was fantasy when I kept highlighting Mysore Canopy but it wasn't was it.
Notice you have the gang together, reunion?
New comers and all, DYOR before making judgements after all its your money.
They may be tonyj, but you have already tried to spin the canopy across the entire Indian state on the back of it. Now that has been declared an absolute brainfu** by anyone who has a clue what it would entail, you seem to think a CC canopy across Thailand is more believable. Watch out for the Gestapo, he will have you against the wall before you know it LOL.
Sorry Tony,
"Indore and Thailand is a whole new ball game covering whole Canopy". That's my issue there is so much supposition on there it's untrue. Let's leave it there, I've made my decision and happy to stand or call by it.
Right, Colour back to you, are you saying that CC is not the main supplier to Indore for their RF Canopy system.
I must say that is I thought CC was doing but you seem to know more.
Hold up, you understand what and from where?
Hello jake.. Colour just can't contain himself.
Yes that is what I understand, may be wrong, would not be surprised
but LTI/Imperial will know all about it.
If not I don't think we would be talking about if not.
I think now would an appropriate time for JC to give an update on our new channels.
Newbies, DYOR
Thailand is only 500,000 KM2 Jake, they'll have DCU's all over it by lunchtime tomorrow.
Newbies DYOR : )
Just to be clear Tony. It's going to be a single solution of mesh only for Indore and Thailand?
LTI, we have yet to get a further updated from Anil but these figures occured before the Nov 19 round table, may be Anil already knew of this but just may be not.
We are now talking about more than Notspots, Indore and Thailand is a whole new ball game covering whole Canopy.
We will soon find out.
Newbies, DYOR.
Strong, I am only applying logic in light of UK.
We none of us know the events of next few weeks but I am hopeful, always bearing in mind we are on AIM.
If lucky we will progress off of AIM, if not so lucky we will plod along but I don't think that will occur.
EESL is satisfied with CC presence and that takes some doing. EESL want to impress the Government and may be earn on exports. Things in the main do not change over night so if CC is locked in Indian system (sticky?) then near future should be OK.
Newbies, DYOR.
Good morning Imperiallondon and all,
As a confirmation of your aspiration/guestimate Imperial, of approximately 5% of the market for RF, in India, Anil provided us with some possible RF intallation figures, during the Investor Conference Call in July, 2019, in which he gave a similar figure.
My understanding/interpretation of what Anil said:-
- 250,000,000 estimated to be required/replaced over three years. ( Indian Government estimate.) Anil suggest it will be longer.
- 125,000,000 or 50% of the original total, should translate into smart meters.
- Approximately 60,000,000 , or approximately 50% of the smart meters, should translate into RF meters.
- And conservatively CyanConnode estimate that they could potentially gain 20% at least, of the total RF market.
So somewhere between 11m and 12m units, for the Indian smart meter market. Between 4%/5% of the total market.
So I agree with your approximate 5% market share estimate, for CyanConnode, for India.
LTI.
'Imperial is well down on numbers'
Then maybe time for a little less braggadocio and a bit more humility and introspection.
A bit uncalled for Strong, I think that Imperial is well down on numbers, if CC used for Notspots could possibly achieve 10%.
However the likes of Indore are, unless I am wrong, total installs, much more different and way beyond Notspots in numbers, also training services.

' I am hoping that even if we have around 5% market share of the Indian smart metering market eventually, that alone will be a very solid and profitable business. Given the progress and partnerships we currently have this could seen as a huge underestimate'
You've been spouting tripe like that for at least four years now. How much did you say you're out of pocket here? Your as deluded and dangerous as longtimeidiot.
Morning JAE and all :)
There will always be competition in any field where there are solid profit margins. So from my point of view, out of the total of 250 million smart meters in India, there will be various other vendors winning contracts and there will be a whole host of partnerships/alliances/consortia bidding for tenders. I am hoping that even if we have around 5% market share of the Indian smart metering market eventually, that alone will be a very solid and profitable business. Given the progress and partnerships we currently have this could seen as a huge underestimate, but I am deliberately being conservative and make an allowance for "left field" competition.
In terms of the communication choices, there are many as such as LoRA, Zigbee, PLC, RF Mesh, GPRS etc to name a few and each technology has its benefits and limitations to application and China seems to like PLC, the US has a fairly big RF presence though in the "paid for" spectrum of 2.4 Ghz spectrum (from memory) as their technological infrastructure and applications are different.
JAE, You are right in saying that at some point in the communication pathway, GPRS is likely to be involved.
As I understand it in terms of the CYAN offer for data communication between
Smart Meter to Data Concentrator Unit/Gateway - Sub 1Ghz free spectrum RF mesh is used
Then onto the next stage
DCU to Network Management Software (the likes of SAP, Oracle, Siemens) - uses GPRS signal
However, the use of GPRS/mobile signal to send frequent data packets 9every 15 min) to the Network Management Software costs money and the issue of black spots becomes an issue as well. I believe that in large cities in India the construction is RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) structures with electricity meters located in underground basements and car parks and the buildings are in close proximity to each other.
So then the issue of recurrent GPRS costs (which will only increase with the rollout) and the issue of "not spots"(which will also increase with the rollout) become practical implementation issues.
Then of course is the flexibility of the hardware offer - I think companies like Kamstrup offer similar RF tech but they are likely to be bundled with their electricity meters. India is very keen on "Make in India" as way of stimulating the economy and the partners we have Genus, L&T and HPL are well established meter manufacturers in India - so the likes of Kamstrup will have to work through JVs with Indian companies - and effectively try and penetrate a well established market and displace incumbent manufacturers - which can in itself be a huge ask.
Morning Tony, I think the website explains all. For me it is simple and has I believe been suggested before. CC offer a mesh system yes? In simplstic terms where and how much will it be required? If there is connectivity to a network via any standard means that would,I think would be used.
Let's assume in the far reaching areas of India ,miles and miles of nothing ,remote villages which have electricity. Are you suggesting these villages have nothing other than an electricty supply? If they have that they probably have some sort of communication medium. Even CC mesh network needs to connect to a network at some point or are we suggesting the whole of India is going to be communicating by CC Omnmesh?
For me the reality is that Omni is at best a fill in solution to link the famous "notspots" the question is how many. My view is that if you are building a data infrastructure you would use the most reliable and cost effective medium in place already and support this where needed with add on solutions.
To be clear I am not suggesting CC may not be successful in their own field. As an investment for me the question I ask is, how much of the solution they will get, how much profit is in it and what is the risk. On that basis as I say I'm taking a watching brief. Only my personal view so DYOR.
Morning jake.. What is the largest contract Kamstrup have/had just for comparison. Connode a small concern and now with CC got UK with probably 5m to 10m HAT2 meters. That was again only supply. It has been said all along that CC would not get everything everywhere but there is a lot of work out there. We are in heating in Europe, we also had work with E.On. Every job is tendered for by a group of companies, some CC will get, some more likely than others.
With some it is probably if your face fits, others price, others speed of application with loss savings.
It goes on and on but just at the moment CC seems to have caught the attention of EESL.
One again DYOR.
