Hi LT and Tony.
Thanks for the NSGM update
"The installations so far this month stand at 4,24,010 ( 424,010 ) smart meters and the overall number of smart meters installed now standing at 1,08,40,249 ( 10,840,249 )."
As we know ALL ordered / deployed smart meters , also become installed meters and in April Zeus released end of Year 24 note stating Cyan had so far a 25% share in meters so far ordered in India.
So , in theory going by todays numbers this would give Cyan an average of approx. 100,000 smart meters installed per month (out of total this month of 424,010 ) with associated up front revenues. With over 250 million meters required , even if we took just 150 million meters installed before target date this gives approx. 37 million smart meters to Cyan, and with a gross monthly install rate of around 8 million, of which 25% which is 2 million units a month could go to Cyan so to hit the Dec 25 deadline.
So at some stage their needs to be at least a 20 x ramp up on meters ordered and deployed for installation. GL Vas
Hello Vas, yes I agree, all subs are at a critical stage in the India Rollout. Once the massive ship has been launched, the fitting out starts with all hands on deck. If they are going to start all over India nearly simultaneously a massive number of orders will have to be issued even if only in 0.5m - 1.0m sizes, most Utilities will want their Province started first, if only to get any grants on offer. A little more holding of breath is required up to their elections. JC gave an enthusiastic update and said Q&A video to follow shortly, that should be about now and will provide the bridge between now and the start of June. DYOR. In the circumstances I do not think things could get much better in anticipation (sentiment) than this.
Good afternoon all,
The number of Sanctioned smart meters remains the same, although there are some substantial projects still waiting to be Awarded.
The main winner to be Awarded so far this month, is Tripura, with 4,15,647 ( 415,647 ) Awarded. The installations so far this month stand at 4,24,010 ( 424,010 ) smart meters and the overall number of smart meters installed now standing at 1,08,40,249 ( 10,840,249 ).
Good Luck all.

LTI.
Good morning Vas, gizmo all.
Thank you both for your information.
In answer to your question, Vas, I do not know that CyanConnode have any branding as such, on the outside of meter manufacturers meters, to high-light that CyanConnode are involved with any individual project. Or even if CyanConnode or any other RF/Solutions Provider would be allowed to display any branding on the outside of a meter?
Just a thought.
LTI.
Thanks Gizzmo , and have a great weekend yourself.

There is an advert with three smart meters on it entitled "Energising Lives with Smart Meter Solutions".
If you look at the picture on the far left. Copy picture, put it in a word document and zoom in you will see that this meter states on it #
GENUS

LORAWAN RF
" Genus Power Infrastructure Ltd, India"
I do realise that the Cyan contract with Genus was for Omnimesh RF but Omnimesh Supports the management of LORA, can't it? Does anyone here know if there is enough information here to ascertain whether this is a Cyan meter or another company. The advert is only 3 months old ! Cheers Vas
Hi vascular .....Worth keeping eye on sector jobs being created pace seems increased ....happy holiday 🙂
General news on industry developments or even just journalistic comments on the RDSS rollout are impossible to find at present ! Very unusual , when you think we are now in such a sensitive period and on the cusp of what we have been informed will be a fertile news period for sub contractors such as Cyan and others.
Absolutely no news on our competitors either, which I find the most reassuring as this means the silence we are hearing is not related to Cyan but the entire industry at this time.
Its not hard to imagine that India may have banned all news and comments around specific politically sensitive issues such as regional energy etc, while the voting process is taking place but you would expect to find some reference in the Indian news that it has actually been agreed, and is actually being applied.
Something regarding Genus here. I noted this new company is based in the State of Rajasthan, India - not as if that means they will supply Rajasthan, i guess - but with approx. 16 million customer meters to be supplied in just Rajasthan, and Cyan's previous success in Rajasthan, lets hope that GENUS ALFA SMART METERING PRIVATE LIMITED, will also be manufacturing Cyan solutions. Major commercial action was the threat after the last election 5 years ago. Yes, this years election is holding things back, but this is India. The election will pass, contracts will roll forward, prices and supplier margins will be squeezed time and time again. You never know, one ot two larger corporations might make some money sometime.
Before the elections are done and dusted ?
Are we likely to see any major commercial action before the elections ar
Good afternoon Vas and all,
Thank you for the Directors Talk review Vas, it was appreciated, as always.
Much of the news was covered in the Trading Update, but some information from the Directors Talk report, is very interesting.
From the report:-
" Bob Liao, Analyst at Zeus Capital said, " Our FY24 forecasts will be upgraded once the Group's audit has been finalised and we have clarity on the extent of the material outperformance of revenue. An increase in revenue has the potential to drop through to a greater proportional increase in profit. For FY25, we reiterate our forecast for revenue to jump to £34.5m with Adjusted EBITDA of £4.4m ( 12.9% margin )."
A very encouraging report Vas, I feel over all and thank you for sharing.

Eveneing LT and all.
I was looking into the connection between BIS and Cyan to see if i could find anything and came across this interview with Mr. Aniruddha Shahapure, presently COO at Cyan and once "held prominent positions with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) (India) and served as the Technical Committee Chairman at KEBS- Bureau Standards (Kenya)".
Anyway, published In Jan 24 - apologies if posted before but i do not recall it. GL Vas

Good morning Vas and tonyj,
Just as a contribution to the discussion, from past Genus Power " Earnings Conference Call " reports, they have mentioned within some of the reports, that they still manufacture a percentage of what they call " Traditional " meters. I take that as meaning " non-smart " meters, but smarter than the proposed customers have at present.
This may also happen with other meter manufacturers, who have any stock-piles of " ..... traditional..... " meters, already manufactured.
Good Luck all.
LTI.
Yes, it makes sense, but CC in all Genus meters unlikely IMO.
But then i know nothing really.
There is a lot of movement within Genus since Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd (Genus Power)signed a definitive agreement with Gem View Investment, an affiliate of GIC, Singapore to set up a platform for undertaking advanced metering infrastructure service provider concessions.
GIC will hold a 74 per cent stake while Genus will hold a 26 per cent stake in the platform, the company said in a BSE filing.
I wonder if certain partnerships, assets whatever are being transferred form Genus to GIC. Just a thought. no evidence.

Hello Vas, thanks for that. I definitely think it was a good idea of JC to join up with Genus and Intellismart but it is frustrating that we do not get more detailed updates. As we now can do all connections I surmise that Genus are only using CC for it's Smart Comms as directly Inhouse. Having said that Genus may not be able to disclose until all the real Subs are notified. It is really a matter of does all Genus Smart Meters contain CC, is so it would be nice for JC to say so and orders that Genus win we win. Does that make sense. DYOR
