Have now unboxed mine and put a picture on Twitter in a response to Myles who has now received (most) of his sizeable order.
The swab break point is quite a way up the swab meaning that the mixing/collecting tube is longer than rubbish I am familiar with but components will change no doubt.
So good to think the hard work is now mainly done and demand fulfilment becomes a major issue.

Been reading all day this has got me hooked..
Half my fridge and cupboards are empty now,out of date stuff.
Need to do a big shop now….
Correction :
Very clear we have Buffer shelf life date 01/22, whilst the Box shelf life is 05/22.
The shortest date is displayed, however the Buffer shelf will continue to be updated

@CO - if I had to guess I'd say it was most likely to be availability of the nebules the buffer is in. I think it's pretty clear the LFDs were manufactured in May. Of course it could have been waiting on swabs or tubes just as easily - just that the date on the Buffer makes me think that was the final jigsaw piece for this packaging run.

p.s. 1 -2 million a week since end of may would be a nice stockpile
@Ophidian,
Ta. So, date of CE Mark registration with MHRA - when we were told the test could be immediately placed onto the market. Guess we still don’t know exactly when Avacta had the cassettes and other components ready, or when the buffer was ordered.
Conversely, it might just be that since the buffer seems to have a relatively short shelf-life (why only 6 months?), manufacturing it is the very final step (after taking orders) before assembling the kits and shipping them.

Ophidian, agreed - think that explains the final leg of the delay!
But where are you getting this June 7th date from?
I think you are all missing the point - the LFD could have been supplied from June 7th, but it looks like Avacta were waiting on Buffers to be available. HMG pretty much stitched up supply of buffers, swabs and tubes if you recall.

Ok, clear from Investor110’s photos on Dropbox - box expiry is driven by the buffer, which seems to have a shelf-life of 6 months at 5-30C. Thanks!
Frustratingly little info, looks like all the LOT and reference numbers on all the boxes and tests photographed have been the same so far.
Someone on Twitter pointed out the expiry date was either 2022-01 or 2022-05.
Look carefully:
It is 2022-01 on the boxes.
2022-05 on the individual tests.
Assuming it’s not a mistake, 2022-01 is perhaps a “sell by” date on the boxes, and 2022-05 on individual tests would be a “use by” date..?
It wasn't meant to be stupid, just I thought that was the deal so I was just wondering but hey, whatever.
if the symbol identifies Mologic, do we assume that they are not as yet selling/giving away the AVCT test to poor and middle income countries yet?
Medical device manufacturer symbol on box has identifier text Mologic Ltd Thurleigh MK44 2YA United Kingdom
cj62.....That would have cost Avacta at least a million pounds. I doubt they gave them away to anyone.
Or maybe they are short because they may have given 10 governments 50k each to run their own tests and trials to further prove up the quality and accuracy of the product.
If I'm not mistaken they had to do full production runs for the CE marking. Maybe these are just those early batches being moved?
We should deffo be able to work something out in 2 weeks time when the next "run" gets shipped.
Advena Ltd on the label also reminds us that Calibre is licensed to sell across Europe. Does this mean a central storehouse in say Belgium has a large shipment available, or are they warehoused in the half dozen biggest EU economies? A shame we can't get feedback from Spain, or Germany? It would be nice to know if Calibre in Spain is selling as pro-actively as BioserveUK.
Pretty hard to work that out going by numbers, my best guess would be:
25k batches
6th lot of 25k
Test kit 7?
Lot id is: 25k-006-7
I would say these are from a batch of 25k sent to bioserv.
So, we have a number of photos.
Generally, companies don't start lot numbers with 0000000001... they start something like 10000000001 instead, it makes it look like they have sold more and hides the number they have sold till they release formally via RNS etc.
So, I wonder if we can do a comparison on lot numbers to have a wild ass guess at quantities produced.
My guess... about 1.2m produced from what I've seen on batches photos on twitter... but... could be around 200k... depending on how many 1's they put pre-production.
If it did genuinely start at 000000001 then we have sold alot. I'm not sure tho.
Thoughts? Anyone able to do a bit of analysis on this thought trend?
