Mowzerrocks, derampers will never tell you the LFT could be used to travel to see family and elderly people at risk, and that you would want the best for your loved ones to keep them safe.
Vegas - interesting post. Completely agree about the different types of traveller. Also don’t forget we are talking pounds between these tests so I’m not sure that on a £300 it will make much difference to a customer… certainly on a £40 easyJet it might.
I also suspect that the mix of customers will change due to economic pressures. And don’t forget the business traveller. Get into big corporates and the duty for H&S will bump up sales.
GL to all real hodlers minus the fud spammers.
@wyndrum, just seen your post on travel industry testing,
Aviation and travel is my passion and I really hope I'm right in believing our test will become a big part in this industry
Totally agree with you that fasle positives need to be avoided for the reason you gave, however as regards price ( although I think we can be competitive ) I think there are 2 types of traveller, those who want to do it as cheap as possible and those like myself who treat a holiday exactly as one and want the best they can afford
I won't do all inclusive in Europe as I don't eat rubbish at home so I certainly won't on my holiday, but I've seen some people never leave the hotel on an AI because they'd have to spend money
I think accuracy will definitely come into play as it would be bad publicity for an airline if an outbreak of covid was to occur on a flight, I ultimately believe the airlines and or the CAA will have a say at the level of accuracy required
But like everything on this board just a view
Timster re your 19:05 post - yes they were. As I shared on here expected to be taking orders by mid september and supplying by end of september. Question is what went wrong ? Either way he expectation now is for the coming week as everyone is aware.
Ophidian
Annoyingly Wyndy & NDN have done exactly what they wanted and diverted attention away from the initial discussion which is interesting.
Do we know if that page is new or when it was added? Timster, you mentioned September 7th - is that the date the page shared by Energyshares was edited? How did you determine that out of curiosity?
Travel industry is a global market we need to not worry about the UK gov the market is huge
Either way, it indicates recent progression with the strategy.
That medusa page was updated 7th September, wonder if they were expecting authorisation soon after that.
Let’s start with the premise that Avacta and Medusa19 have a vested interest in this working. Avacta are astute operators when it comes to selecting partners, and I’m sure that their choice partnering with Medusa19 will pay dividends. Medusa19 management have the experience when it comes to both marketing, sales and logistics.
There is a huge worldwide market and it is not just limited to travel. Affidx and medusa19 are on the NHS microbiology framework for starters.
The market might be waiting, but they can see it is shaping up well for Avacta now.
Wyndrum.I am sure that there will still be a massive LFT market for the testing of pupils of all ages.If the press reports are to be believed the current daily positives are highly distorted by positives amongst the school population.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
It just depends (once we get HUA), whether or not the travel industry use us.
More likely imo, the TI could, as long as the individual uses a recognised LFT test they will accept it and not just use "their recommended test" per se. This then means we have to be on said list, but I assume we will be by default, having HUA.
Difficult to say how many will care about accuracy. (False positives will probably be the "headline" on the packet, because you don't want to miss your holiday on a test that says you have covid when you haven't.)
But if there is a "much of a muchness" about them then it will be about price.
Other than travel I am not sure where the market is now for LFT's. It depends if large events will insist on them. If it does then that will help obviously.
Ultimately it will depend also on how many test the public has to choose from and at what cost. Once we know that we should be able to have a stab at guessing sales numbers
it is disappointing that even now at what seems this late stage from our expectations of a year ago, we have little or no information on capacity, amount of business sales, when HUA will be granted or the profit margin.
We seem to have NDA's with Medusa, the Govt, (all govt's?), elite sports teams and big (international)business, restricting any info to help investors. Plus a marketing dept, that seems not to want to market the product.
Still, big week next week as Ophidian predicted within 10 days the SP would be 250p which would be by close of play Friday i think?
Fingers crossed, although i have to say, not my favorite investing strategy, or indeed most successful.
& with a lot to go for..

Lots going on in the background with Medusa, once they receive HUA they will throw everything at the marketing and production.
Has that been added then recently?
