LC81 Lets hope common sense prevails and this project is given the green light, a new treatment plant is built and we all live happliy ever after.
Lolol I can’t believe people still think the BOD will deliver something positive here .... you need to cats your mind back to 2017 when Hutchinson states on social media permits were not a priority I.e he already knew this was going to be a problem but was trying to avoid the obvious while hendos offloaded at 2.4p .... why was the EIA not done either way, why were funds not used for shallows ??? JB is just a puppet hire by Hutchinson who is still pulling the strings good luck let con continue
Mysteron, indeed. Smacks of desperation on the part of the complainants doesn’t it?
Ray1234 The ray of hope gleaned form this complaint, is that it has been raised in response to a positive decision for AST.
After a good read through the 30 page complaint, It does smack of a band of brothers clubbing together to make one last stand after being informed about something they ain't happy about. Fingers crossed, but i must admit It also seems to be giving the impression of upsetting the apple cart. Good luck, folks!
Jv agreement must be as good as Hutchinson spreadsheets lolol
As I have mentioned before, the viper in the nest, the JV partners, can't wait for AST to go under or exit. They will say cheerio, thanks for the 50 million and get the permits a short time after. It's the way things work in eastern Europe.
Lc81 yes well to high , I wouldn't trust these Muppets to run a ice cream van never mind this company, tho you would get more profits from a ice cream van than this company
Mysteron,
Exactly and fully agree!...
Indeed report very lacking in references to those HIGHLY RIGOROUS AND ROBUST industry standards, specifications, rules and regulations in place to prevent such a scenario happening!...
Yet more SENSATIONALISM from certain groups/press on the matter....
Looks like JB has failed yet another deadline while slowvenia corrupt news agencies keep putting out all sorts of rubbish .... here is hopping that the 3 amigos have commissioned an EIA in the background or perhaps that’s just common sense which means my expectations for these 3 muppets are to high
Its not a new complaint its a compilation of historical attempts rolled up in to a concerted effort to try and persuade the deciding body "not"to take the side of AST . It reads like a horror story, an ominous apocalyptic scenario. Total exaggeration designed to scare and use the image of an out of control escaping noxious, poisonous and life threatening chemicals in to the environment.
The rules the whole industry follow are set in place to ensure the above scenario does not happen.
So basically AST are finished. The so called new Oil men BoD are just carrying on milking this to the end there won't even be scrap value as that will probably go to Riverfort as an asset. No use saying there are things happening elsewhere there is no money to go elsewhere they have spent the compressor money, got a crap loan to pay back we have been screwed over by the old BoD and now the expert BoD. This new complaint doesn't mean the permits have been passed, if our placing on the AIM is worth anything it's not that much. Sick of all the cons on AIM just run by con artists BoD's. Disgusted

… me!
Ray1234,
Indeed and all rather “FRUSTRATING” to the whole process in more ways than one at the moment!... However, even with “BORED GAMES” players there is always a winner???....;-)
This seems like another attempt at hampering . AST followed all the requests and advice given, then all of a sudden the first of a concerted effort to hamper the progress emerge, that is now being followed up with this complaint. Its basically a focus group with a tactic at try to stop, hinder, stifle, hamper any form of extraction of hydrocarbons under health & safety banner they question and claim how the required rules have been ignored and counter claim in the form of a complaint . This is a never ending plan to stifle progression. Full complaint pdf link http://focus.si/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/OECD-complaint_final.pdf . Its like its become standard practice and should be part of the development programme to counter this rhetoric.
Ask John, , the guys holiday, good luck on that one
Ask john when litigation is going to start gla
Alwaysup- Agree with your comments but from a business point of view AST took on Pet as a site to extract via low pressure hydraulic stimulus which they got permits for and all in good faith, if NOW Slovenia have decided they do not want any type of stimulus surely AST must be compensated for any expenditure they have outlaid in good faith that was not going to result in utilising the land for the purpose they had purchased and had been used for in the last fifty years.
The Slovenian environment ministry has accepted its not fracking when regarding the permit. Its categorically not fracking
Tango1 - It is not the Slovenian government and laws that AST is fighting now, it is the environmental groups. They have more power than the government because they are "protecting the planet for our children". They make it a moral issue affecting all of mankind.
The can of worms that is fracking in Slovenia has been opened to the media and the public, and AST tactics have to change accordingly. There will be no forcing acceptance of fracking operations, AST will have to identify and address every concern these groups have with whatever studies are needed. The only two options are to appease these groups or pull the pin and leave Slovenia to look for a country that will allow fracking. Trouble is, with all the budding "climate crisis" groups, finding those countries is getting more difficult.
AST Moved forward with the project based on expert opinion that No EIA was required, So AST spent millions on the project only to find The slovenian government did not accept their own experts advice (which they are obliged to do in slovenian law) and also went on to say The project was on protected land, The slovenian government has no case as they have not followed their own guidelines, The EU does not deem this type of gas extraction as Fracking. Just need someone with some balls to take them on.
Mysteron - Exactly what I have been saying for quite some time now, AST cannot force fracking on Slovenians. Legal action will do nothing but cost money and the decision will not be in AST's favour.
The only way possible to obtain approval to frac would be to address the concerns of the anti-fracking groups and conduct the studies that are required.
The key ground for appeal is the fact all six government agencies which ARSO is required to consult as part of the screening assessment process concluded no assessment was needed.
