You’ve just said they were brought in to sell the Diesel gen replacements. So who’s selling the other products, ie the EV chargers from the road show?
How can you possibly say ‘job well done’ when there’s no news except yet more testing?
I wonder if we will get our £500 vouchers announced this week
Muscorum. Possibly. And we may never know who As they are just disguised by using investment conpanies
Diesel gen!! Cluck cluck
BB - I think 2 people over 12+ months should achieve more than one test site. Job well done? But no orders?
If they were brought in for their diesel hen backgrounds, who’s doing the sales for every other sector?
FCI, out of the 10 or so questions that were asked prior to the private AGM, 3 of them were mine, not a single one was answered other than saying they won’t answer it, I’m not sure any of them were answered satisfactorily. AFC have zero respect for small PIs, they show this time and time again.
Back to the title of the thread, has anyone else actually emailed some questions? This is such a good opportunity to ask questions, as we await the investor day, that it seems too good to miss.
From the replies, I am starting to wonder if anyone on here is actually invested in the company - only joking, sort of!
Wouldn't be surprised if roman sold out a percentage, knowing he could the re invest at 16p under a differen investment company.
that's my assumption Chucky but what a crap process if it just takes your word for it!
I also bought mine at around 19:55 (just before offer closed) and received full £5k applied for. Showing in my account now but can't trade them yet (I'm with AJ Bell).
I wondered whether maybe those that declared themselves to already be invested in AFC received their full amount whilst new investors were the ones to be scaled back?
You think that's odd Anneowl, Tom Pollard was General Manager of Rolec EV, yet AFC have employed him as national EV sales manager. In my experience good sales people are very good at selling, you can't just stick a general manager in a sales position and think that's the same because it isn't. I also hope that AFC haven't taken on Gerry Agnew simply because he once worked at Rolls Royce, I've seen this before, management go gaga seeing that on a cv without checking previous performance.
I got mine at about 5 to 8
Just checked the FAQ's on the primarybid website which suggests that their scale back method is at their own discretion, but usually on a first come, first served basis, rather than a minimum allocation to all, or on equally pro-rata basis.
Seems you need to be quick off the mark!
I asked for 20,000 and got them so puzzled re the apparent over-subscription and scale back. Not in my account yet though
Thanks milnrowmug,
Seems a good allocation for the discount on offer, and being oversubscribed (although they don't state how many times and how the scale back was managed).
Standard the the SP drops after I have bought in.
Will look forward to the EGM and seeing responses to the Q's raised
Croqman, I asked for 10,000 & was allocated 7,267. Not yet landed in my account.
Dedicated sales team, but using two guys who run a company offering all kinds of consultancy services, but not sales, and neither do their LinkedIn profiles suggest they have any experience in sales...
Seems odd to me.
Just initiated a small position here today with a view to adding further in due course.
Seems to be some frustration here at the lack of comms and news flow. I see this as quite a common bug-bear on AIM shares, but the RNS releases and the presentations/news on the company website seem pretty frequent to me.
NDA's etc perhaps hampering any specific announcements to date, but I see the over-subscribed placing as an indicator that now is likely a good entry point for anyone looking in - there doesn't appear to have been too much of a sell-off judging by volumes seen in the past week and the SP seems to have decent support at this level.
Did many here participate in the offer through primary.bid?
I have known of problems through registering and missing deadlines for applying, so these have not always gone smoothly in the past with other companies.
Was the allocation scaled back by much?
Thanks
Hi Southerhay.
Ive been in since 2006. The way to try and quell this understandable frustration (AFC drive me nuts) is to wait for it to drop below your average buy price and buy some more if you have the cash. That way at least you can feel you're increasing your chances of getting rich when these guys actually come good and you can also sell some at a profit when it does one of its temporary surges and still have enough for when they get their billion pound order! Works for me (that and gin).
10 years * (feels like 100 years haha)
FCI - to be fair we’re always waiting for news from AFC and whenever we do it relates to potential down the line.
If we’re commercial now and have at least £32m in the bank there’s a darned good reason for having the funds raised in such a short order. Crack on and tell us what and who the funds will be used to service. An order book to fulfil or are we building stock for the shelves for potential customers?
I’m probably at my most frustrated today than I’ve ever been with AFC and that’s been 100 years invested here.
We need to be part of the post-Covid strategy for investing in our economy and making significant inroads to climate change mitigation. The time in NOW!
From the RNS 26th July 2019 ...· " Appointment of a dedicated sales team in response to emerging opportunities in the EV charger and off grid power genset market "...refering to David Hatherill and Mark Barnes.
I didn't realise David Hatherill and Mark Barnes came onboard as a team, I thought they were individual and separate hires.
And they aren't so much salesmen as generalised consultants - www.catalystpwr.co.uk
QED, SonofaGun. Why not send in questions if you are so concerned?
Its AFC which cause the negativity, not one of Daz9643 posts. If they actually manage to sell something or conclude one of the oh so many MOU's then that might reinstall some faith back in the AFC sales team.
