So funny, thank Velo! Chuckles in north London.
And I hope stoodio is right in the next few days...
XD on 4.3.21, so plenty of time to buy in to qualify.
4th March according to Bazzaman
Hi Curius!
Yes, you would get the special divi...
"a one-off Windfall Dividend of 3.75 pence per ordinary share, payable on 9 April 2021. Payment of the dividend will be made to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 5 March 2021 and the ex-dividend date is 4 March 2021."
Anyone know when the ex-divi date is?
Anyone know what the ex-dividend date is? If you're not invested, would you qualify if you buy shares now?
Tiger, agreed but happy as per my last :)
And that's just the pattern that plays out for the last decade :)
Wait a couple days for the sonic boom :)
And it's happening again! Why does this share always fall on results days? No matter how good the results are?
Hi Stoodio!
I'd go along with the thanks to the board and management. This is a very well-run and highly profitable company.
Results this morning more or less as expected - that is, excellent. We should also remember that they only include the period up to December 31st, and the rhodium and platinum prices only really took flight in January. So current trading should be even better.
My long term concerns (life of mine, next project, Samancor dependency) have not been answered in this morning's RNSs. But they can wait a bit more.
Rhodium at all time highs. Plat and Pall also holding firm and moving up...
What's not to like here? Future prospects? Absolutely, all in good time folks. I trust the board, here.
I would suggest that any investor that is here long term or has gotten in more recently, that views that RNS, and the general capital growth of the company over the past 1-5 years as anything less than market leading and astonishingly good (all factors understood and considered - mitigating or otherwise) should question why they are here in the first place.
Great management. Slow and steady increasing stakeholder returns, prolonged capital growth and plenty of cash. And I like conservative boards.
I know the board read these threads, quick one from me - thanks, and carry on with the fantastic work you're doing. Well done team.
"If" PGM prices are maintained at around current levels for the next few months then a further special dividend can be reasonably expected next year. Except next year 'could' be a full years production so it would not be unreasonable to expect 4p or more.
Had the GBP/USD not been on a huge run of late then we could have had 4p+ this year...
Market likes it, blue open according to IG
For me it’s a cracking dividend as I’ve been in this since the 7p days. Around 50% YOC!!!
Hi L2 - The list was floating about on Twitter but unfortunately I don’t have a copy
FreeCapital - exactly. I am absolutely delighted with that divi. And I'm not even here for the divi :)
Absolutely cracking results. I expect a dip here today then full guns blazing once the market has settled... which with SLP can take a day or so, even up to a week before a strong trajectory in the up direction as more and more investors are alerted to the wonder of SLP.
ex div 4th March, payable 9th April
When is the ex div date?
It's a special windfall div, it's a massive amount compared with last 3 years . With PGM prices on a bull run the growth prospects are tremendous. for SLP in the coming months and years.
Jdevereaux - and the old skool know what's up :)
Onwards and upwards from here. Fantastic performance from the 'little unknown' minnow that is SLP.
For new investors needing a very brief intro to SLP - think of her as an inkjet printer. We print money.
:)
A healthy return for investors within a broader sensible package. May be usual sell on the news nonsense but SLP in great financial shape for true LTH's.
3.75p is really rather reasonable!! Actually double what I was expecting.
Wow, that's thrown the cat amongst the pigeons for me. with prolonged PGM prices remaining high for the foreseeable, I think this is going to attract new investors and sharks alike :)
Let's go SLP :)
I think a fair few new investors will be a bit disappointed with 3.75p.
one-off divi of 3.75p payable in April 2021, is it enough?
3.75p, quite pleased with that.
