NATO at least should given Ukraine air cover to help them consolidate their gains...... instead of giving them 50 bullets a week to win a war......those brave Ukrainan souls deserve better
Troajan
Can only but wish for that day appearing asap
Daytrader
fxpo.should also rerate,when the orcs,dither away,back into the darkness
Absolutely Troajan, will be a good long while before that place is acceptable to the majority of the civilised world again. Id imagine the Ukranian memorys will be long, very very long. As we've seen this past two years they are a formidable foe, about time the west took the gloves off them and set them loose.
Also expecting the same rally as you Avocet, but the opposite victor.
Russia's a burnt out shell....fighting a block,25 its size
once ukraine are re armed, pukin will be doing is usual....nuke rhetoric narratives
When the Ukraine war ends, which is when russia will have taken it all, I suspect there will be a relief rally of epic proportions.
Thanks for the link southcoast, was an interesting read. It's difficult to judge at the moment and the same for the FTSE100. I do feel like Glen has bottomed out for now atleast though.
Not a chance its all priced in.... Wait until the Ukraine war ends and prices tank further.... This is just the start of glen falling.
The share price has already priced in the profits bleed. I don't see massive downside potential from here.

The first of these is operational – Glencore and Anglo American, two of London’s largest commodity outfits, have bled profits in 2023
Bleeding profits will lead to a bleeding share price and no dividends.
Yes Scott, shorting except NV, quite brave currently me thinks but worth keeping an eye on
Ahh they are shorting all big tech stock execept.
Nvdia .sorry multi tasking atm.
Dt/T,

No worries GoldmanSaches predicting a huge rally in the copper price ,beginning of last year..asper never happened.
All good with the mighty Nvidia. :).
Interesting article Troajan, maybe best to have a word with Scott and settle up quickly mate, just in case. Recall you and he going halves or something ;)

I remember a mate of mine drawing my attention to coal in 2022 when Thungella was trading at 700 ish I think it was...I recall he told me, reminded me and told me again. This was supported by another associate stating Glen's activity here
I was rather ignorant to Coal and Glen thinking Glen's not heavy into coal
Thungella I think hit 1700 ish that year and as you rightly state KPG Glen benefited to. I wish I'd listened and acted accordingly..itvwoukd have assisted my portfolio no end
He has none.
Just trolling, after losing his shirt elsewhere.
2.77 %dividend when u can get 5 %on cash.... SELL SELL
This rose on freak coal price
I know its more complicated than this and future returns etc and growth prospects have to be taken into account but. If Glencore offer a 2.77% dividend; last year it was over 7%, will the percentage drop of the dividend reflect similarly in the share price?
What basis do you have to say this will be sub 200? Genuinely asking and interested to hear the reasoning to cause such a drop.
