No worries Ade, I'm still laughing at your 08:19 post on results day, "this will trade between £3 and £3.50 and then continue to fall"
We all get things wrong from time to time, but remember, bears sound clever, bulls make money!
Living the dream I see your still posting BS on here.
DT, goes ex divi on 2nd May, but not worth holding for the divi alone....the next set of figures from China will be crucial here....Boom or Crash....
Still, copper up nearly 3% today and glad I added at £3.68 to my son's LISA on results day
So now it has hit my 455p and maybe looking a bit overbought. should I hold, that is the question, when is the next divi due
Now this is.
You can add DEC to the list of shares with no SD.
Excellent run for you Glencorians, For me the US tech market has peaked at least for this quarter, too much talk of pullback's etc NV has stalled and started to drop back .I'm back to 100% cash . Its a strange feeling must admit, GLA
Fromage - Jersey is NOT "the UK offshore tax haven". Would be most happy to demonstrate this off line if required through legal argument.
Base metals flying, price pushed past the 20o dma.. whats not to like
All Jersey with a dash of Bermuda and Isle of Man. Always vaguely suspicious to me, but I am happy with GLEN.
Smashed thru the 200 dma. so now we are in business. onwards and upwards
"Magic" Ash, thanks vm. will have a look at them

Following are other companies (within FTSE 100 & 250) which I am aware of where you do not pay any stamp duty:
WPP
Hiscox
Ferguson
Experian
Entain
Centamin
DYOR
Thanks info. Tried ENI but no success. Reason I stick with Aviva actually is because they have a really good rate on cash held and bulk of money is held that way currently. I do ok with etf's so not a big deal having to stick with UK listers on actual stock trading. I just detest handing this incredibly appalling government with even a penny if I can avoid it - and think there is worse to come.
If that fails, you should seriously be thinking about changing your pension company.
Glencore is a swiss company but registered on the London stock exchange via Jersey, which as you know is the UK offshore tax haven. Don't ask me why its allowed. You may look for other companies with ISINs beginning with JE, but none that I have come across. I have bought foreign shares as "CDI"s, "ADR"s and "GDR"s which are the shares traded in the UK that are the same price as and representing foreign shares, and this is the normal way for shareholders to buy "outside their country". They do not suffer the unique UK stamp duty. See if Aviva lets you buy those. Try for example, to buy shares in the Italian oil company ENI. You pay the Italian trading tax, eg a rate of 1 in a thousand.

13 month high
Yes I meant the sdrt tax. I cannot buy non uk listed stock on the platform as it's Aviva pension and not allowed. Can buy etf's though. Would play with U.S. otherwise.

Sure you don't mean stamp duty of share purchase. Buy us stock and no stamp duty. If you live in europe the us market is ace... once I sold my shares in glenda I be gone.
Don't seem to pay any tax when buying these which is great,. are there any others on the 100 to 250 where the same occurs ?
thanks
Technicals... hits the 200 mda at 437.. its already banged its head on it twice today. once it gets past that its onwards to 455p
Bounce for a week or so then Off and away?… why?
What’s going to drive it up?
Might bounce for months just as easily??
Waiting for 437. that's the 200 dma.. once it gets there, it's off and running, but we may see it bounce off that for a week of so.
Ouch!
Well, we will have to change the way we declare our “returns of capital” then.
Personally, I could have done without this this year as HUR acquisition by PRAX was mainly settled via dividend payments. No 8.75% for me I am afraid, but 33.75%, if lucky, on an extra 5K, bvgg€r!
Till now I relied on DEC for best income but that has dramatically changed recently, as TerryM1 would know. I still have PHNX and MNG amongst the most generous.
However, I am happy to remain invested here. I even increased my holding when the SP went below 400.
