That's a shame!!😳
I agree P1, the UK Government would never allow a major UK bank like Lloyds to go into foreign ownership.
Lloyds is never a sitting duck. I’d expect - Politically - it would never be allowed for an external / non UK company to purchase what is a critical UK asset. To big to merge with another provider as well (as CMA would step in).
If Brixton LTI and SUF join together with there wealth & maybe Chips blessing it could happen 🤣🤣🤣😘😘

Political stability is a situation characterised by the preservation of an intact and smoothly functioning government or political system, avoiding significant disruptions or changes over an extended duration.
Yeah, like that's achievable with the stymied unions chomping at the bit and to those who think the left of the party have disappeared under Starmer, naive in the extreme, read the post before this one.
Lloyds are going north, S the markets know Labour will be in power soon, which will bring economic and political stability!
Popcorn anyone?
Kendal - well done on achieving an exit although your language reveals doubt as to whether you jumped too soon. As LLOY continues its rise North, albeit at a different pace at times to other UK banks, it requires holders such as you to sell out. It helps the buy back and also the stability of the SP. I suspect that you may live to regret your premature exit - the UK economy is recovering as we move though this year - confirmed by most economic indicators we see. And as this happens and as the buy back bazooka (£1.5Billion still to go), we will look at you in the rear view mirror and silently wave goodbye.
I agree but lookat barclays 12 months ago till now we don't move up its shocking tbh with all the buybacks this should be moving upwards
25,000 @ £1.00 just a bit better than this rubbish lol
Kendal, this share has to be traded regularly, ,it’s the only way to make money on it.
@kendalsc
‘ with all the ups and downs glad I'm getting out of this mess’
That’s why it’s called a market. I bought RR at 86p on ‘its down’. :)
Think you pulled the trigger a little early imo. A lot of weak holders are being shaken out now. Ex Div and stuck in the 40s for 12 months. Avg buyback increasing which will squeeze out even more weak holders as it progresses.
Kendalsc
Thank you for selling up helps us with the Buyback program .
I do agree with you though , this share should be atless trading @ 65p
The charts are looking good for a charge to 60p :)
Wish all sellers the best with their trading strategy .

Kendalsc
Bye!
Shocking share !!! This should be at least 65p with all the buybacks we are getting nothing from this share sold 20,000 yesterday and put it with the rest of my rolls royce shares bought @£4.06 nice little profit today this share is so corrupt held since 2008 with all the ups and downs glad I'm getting out of this mess
Onlyif
Share buybacks at 52p +, at these levels a lot of investors may now not see it as the most cost effective way for Lloyds to deploy excess cash in a costly exercise to reduce the share capital in the bank.
Haha. The naysayers said 40p... Cracks me up 🤣🤣🤣
Like to see the higher sp but its not so good for the buybacks, but happy days
