Redline's RedMAX(TM) products chosen by One Ring Networks of Atlanta, Georgia

- One Ring Networks among the first to launch WiMAX services in the

United States with Redline's FCC-approved 3.65 GHz products -

TORONTO, Jan. 22 /CNW/ - Redline Communications Group Inc. , a leading provider of standards-based WiMAX access and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced that One Ring Networks, an end-to-end diverse telecommunications and networking services provider, is among the first in the United States (U.S.) to select Redline's 3.65 GHz RedMAX(TM) products to deliver WiMAX services in the metro area of Atlanta, Georgia.

One Ring Networks is deploying the RedMAX system under the guidelines set out by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for the newly available 3.65 GHz licensed spectrum. The company's WiMAX network will cover the entire metropolitan area of Atlanta, reaching thousands of businesses by the end of 2008.

"We are excited to utilize Redline's products for our initial WiMAX network launch, which is just beginning to break ground in the U.S. marketplace," states Matt Liotta, CEO of One Ring Networks. "In the U.S., Redline is the first WiMAX vendor to receive FCC approval for its 3.65 GHz WiMAX products, and we are among the first to seize this opportunity to deliver the most reliable, secure, high-speed fixed and nomadic voice, video and data services to businesses in the Atlanta area."

"Redline has helped carriers around the world to install and deploy reliable, profitable WiMAX networks to deliver the advanced services their customers need," said Kevin Suitor, Vice President, Marketing & Business Development, Redline Communications Group Inc. "There are now more than 130 deployments of our WiMAX Forum Certified RedMAX products worldwide, 44 of which are revenue-generating commercial networks. One Ring will join this group of forward-looking companies that are reaping the benefits of WiMAX."

Redline's 3.65 GHz RedMAX products

In 2007, Redline received FCC approval for its 3.65 GHz RedMAX AN-100U base station and SU-O outdoor subscriber unit. With this approval, Redline now offers the only complete FCC-certified WiMAX system for the newly-available 3.65 GHz frequency band.

"Redline's RedMAX(TM) products are well suited for deployment in the 3.65 GHz band under the rules set out by the FCC," said Mario Pidutti, Director, Product Management at Redline. "Using time-division duplexing (TDD), RedMAX products enable service providers to support high volumes of traffic within a small amount of spectrum. This technology advantage translates to a stronger business model, as the operator can support a higher number of commercial subscribers and generate more revenues from their network."

Redline's WiMAX Solutions

Redline's RedMAX(TM) family of WiMAX solutions includes the world's first complete system to receive the WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) mark for conformance to the WiMAX standards for performance and interoperability. The system includes the RedMAX(TM) Base Station (AN-100U) and RedMAX(TM) Indoor Subscriber Unit (SU-I) and Outdoor Subscriber Unit (SU-O). Redline also offers the Redline Management Suite, which enables operators to monitor and control the WiMAX network.

Redline also offers its RedMAX 4C(TM) family of Mobile WiMAX products, which are Federal Communications Commission based on the IEEE 802.16e-2005 standards for mobile WiMAX. The RedMAX 4C supports a wide range of high-speed fixed, portable and mobile wireless services. The RedMAX 4C(TM) Mobile WiMAX platform is designed to enable operators to maximize the reach and customer density required for a profitable carrier business model. The RedMAX 4C(TM) includes a modular, standardized (micro)TCA (micro Telecommunications Computing Architecture) chassis base station that is small, lightweight and easy to deploy. RedMAX 4C(TM) will also include a suite of indoor and outdoor fixed and portable end-user devices including laptops, mobile handsets and PDAs. The RedMAX 4C(TM) is designed to facilitate the integration of existing RedMAX(TM) products with RedMAX 4C(TM) technologies, providing operators a path to true mobility.
