Board Changes

Wynnstay, the agricultural and retail group, announces that Non-executive Chairman John Davies has informed the Board of his intention to retire from the Board of the Company at the Group's next AGM in 2013. Following this decision, he is stepping down from the Chair today to become a Non-executive Director. The role of Chairman passes to Vice Chairman, Gareth Owen, and Jim McCarthy, currently Non-executive Director, becomes Vice Chairman, with these changes also taking effect today.

John Davies has chaired Wynnstay for the last 23 years, during which time the Company has established itself as a significant presence in UK agriculture. John played an important part in the business's success and the Board would like to thank him for his considerable contribution. At the same time, the Board welcomes Gareth Owen to the position as Chairman. Gareth has been a member of Wynnstay's board since 1985 and Vice Chairman for the past 12 months.

Ken Greetham, Chief Executive, said,

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Gareth on his new role as Chairman. He has extensive knowledge of the business. I also welcome Jim McCarthy to his new position as Vice Chairman. Jim joined Wynnstay in July 2011, bringing significant additional corporate and management experience."
