Appointment of Non-executive Director

Wynnstay, the agricultural and retail group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Howell Richards as a Non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Howell, aged 50 years, has over thirty years' experience of the agricultural industry and has a wide understanding of the commercial issues and challenges in UK farming today. He has particular expertise in the livestock sector and has established one of the largest dairy farms in the UK, Cwrt Malle Farm, with a herd of over 2,250 milking cows. Over the past few years, he has worked for Wynnstay, latterly as a feeds consultant, and has been involved with Wynnstay's new strategic initiatives in feeds within the South Wales area and in staff development programmes.

While farming, Howell also worked for Kemira Fertilisers (now GrowHow UK Limited, the leading UK fertiliser manufacturer and a major supplier to the process chemicals industry), promoting grassland and arable products to farmers, with a particular focus on the dairy sector.

He is an active voice within the UK dairy industry, speaking at industry events and mentoring young entrants into dairy farming. Howell also is a member of the BBC Rural Affairs Committee.

Save as set out in this announcement there are no further matters to be disclosed under Rule 17 or paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules for Companies.
