Board Changes

Majestic Wine PLC today announces that Simon Burke will step down from the role of Chairman following the next AGM on 6 August 2010. He has been a Non-Executive Director of Majestic since 2000 and Chairman since 2005.

Phil Wrigley, 57, has been appointed as Chairman Designate of Majestic. He will join the Board in April as a Non-Executive Director and will become Chairman following Simon Burke's retirement.

Phil has a financial background and extensive retail management experience having previously held senior management positions at Debenhams, Arcadia and BHS.  Currently he is Chairman of LXB Retail Properties PLC and until recently he was Chairman of New Look having previously been its Chief Executive.

Steve Lewis, Chief Executive, said:
