Wilmington Group Plc13 September 2005 13 September 2005 Wilmington Group plc Disposal of Drinks Publishing Assets The board of Wilmington Group plc ("Wilmington"), the professional informationand training group, is pleased to announce that Wilmington has completed thesale of its Drinks publishing division (the "Drinks Division") to William ReedPublishing Limited ("WRP") for a total cash consideration of £2.2 million. The Drinks Division comprises of Wilmington's businesses and assets in thedrinks and travel retail markets and includes the magazine titles "Wine" and"Drinks International" as well as the "International Wine Challenge", theworld's largest blind wine tasting event. Wilmington chief executive, Charles Brady, commented: "The sale is in line with Wilmington's strategy of concentrating on its coremarkets. The board of Wilmington believes that the disposal will allow us toconcentrate on our retained markets with more energy and focus whilst providingan excellent opportunity for the Drinks assets to be further developed by WRPwith their specialist market position."
