Listing Application for New Shares Issued to Employee Share Trusts

Volex Group plc ("the Company") announces that on 1 October 2010 it issued (a) 230,000 new ordinary shares of 25 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 25p per share to certain employees of the Company jointly (in each case) with the trustee of the Volex Group Guernsey Purpose Trust ("the Purpose Trust") upon and subject to the terms of the Volex Group plc 2010 Joint Share Ownership Plan ("JSOP") and (b) 4,667,015 new Ordinary Shares at a price of 25p per share to The Volex Group Employees' Share Trust ("the EST") for the purpose of enabling the trustee of the EST to satisfy awards made under the Volex Group plc Performance Share Plan 2009.

The 4,897,015 new Ordinary Shares rank pari passu in every respect with the existing issued Ordinary Shares in the Company. The Company has applied to the UK Listing Authority for the listing of, and to the London Stock Exchange for the admission of, these shares to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market for listed securities.
