VOLEX PLC
Volex plc (the "Company"), a global provider of power and data cabling solutions today announces that Mrs. Karen Slatford, Chairman of the Board of Directors, exercised an award made to her under the Volex Group Plc Non-Executive Directors Long Term Incentive Scheme. The Company has received notice that Ms Slatford has reinvested the proceeds of this award, after deduction of income tax and national insurance contributions, in the purchase (from the Company's Guernsey Purpose Trust) of 41,289 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company at a price per share of 82p, this being their market value at the time of purchase.
Mrs. Slatford now holds 107,198 shares in the Company representing 0.12% of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company.
