Volex Group PLC09 September 2005 VOLEX GROUP PLC 9 SEPTEMBER 2005 Further to the announcement made on 8 September 2005 relating to the appointmentof Mr. Martin May as Chairman of the Company, the following information has beennotified to the Company by Mr. May and is disclosed in accordance with Paragraph9.6.13 (3) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority. 1) On 26th July 2005 PlaneStation Group plc was placed into administration. Mr. May was an executive director of the Company on that date. No statement of affairs has yet been published. However it is estimated that there will be no loss to creditors and that there will be a surplus available for shareholders. 2) On 15th September 2004 Landside A/S was placed into bankruptcy in Denmark. Mr. May was an executive director of the Company on that date. No statement of affairs has yet been published. However it is estimated that the total shortfall to creditors is £21,346.74. 3) On 15th April 2002 Connolly Leather Ltd was placed into administrative receivership. Mr. May was an executive director of the Company on that date. The total shortfall to creditors as set out in the statement of affairs was £24,563.00. 4) On 15th April 2002 Connolly Hides Ltd was placed into administrative receivership. Mr. May was an executive director of the Company on that date. The total shortfall to creditors as set out in the statement of affairs was £14,361.77. No further details regarding Mr. May are required to be disclosed underparagraph 9 .6.13 (1-6) of the Listing rules of the UK Listing Authority.
