Appointment of Non - Executive Director

Volex, a leading global designer and manufacturer of high-performance interconnect solutions and power cords, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Mountford as an independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 January 2011.

Paul brings a wealth of experience in the IT and data-communications field. Paul is President of Emerging Markets at Cisco Systems, Inc., a role that spans 132 countries. He joined Cisco in 1996 as managing director of the United Kingdom & Ireland business and has previously led Cisco Worldwide Channels from Silicon Valley and led Service Provider Sales and Marketing Strategy for EMEA region. In these roles with Cisco, Paul has earned global recognition by his peers, partners, and customers as a visionary, leader, innovator and mentor.

As an authority on technology marketing and sales, Paul served on the Board of Directors for UK start-up leader, Phyworks Ltd. prior to its acquisition. He has also served as a non-Executive Director on the Board for Palm Inc before it was acquired by Hewlett Packard in 2010.
