Half Year Trading Update

The Company announces its trading update for the six months ended 31 March 2010.

We are pleased to announce that first half Group sales volume amounted to approximately 1,170 tonnes, an increase of 52% over the previous first half (772 tonnes). The rebound in sales volume we saw in January was sustained in February and March, reinforcing the positive underlying trends in the Victrex Polymer Solutions ('VPS') business.

First half revenue for Invibio®, our biomaterial solutions business, was approximately £22.1m, an increase of 26% over the previous first half (£17.6m) and up 33% on the second half (£16.6m). Underlying revenue (at constant exchange rates) was up 6% on last year's record first half and 26% ahead of the second half. We expect Invibio revenues for the second half of the current year to be broadly in line with the first half.

Victrex will announce its results for the six months ended 31 March 2010 on Tuesday 25 May 2010.
