Board Change

Victrex plc announces that Michael Peacock has indicated his intention to retire after over 10 years as Finance Director. Michael will step down from the Board on 7 October 2010, but will remain with Victrex until 28 February 2011 to facilitate an orderly handover.

Peter Bream, age 43, will join the Board of Victrex plc as Finance Director with effect from 8 October 2010. Peter is currently Finance Director of Renold plc, the UK listed international engineering company. He is a chartered accountant and has an engineering degree from Cambridge University.

Chairman Anita Frew said:

"I would like to thank Michael for his invaluable contribution to the Board and the Company with outstanding service to Victrex as Finance Director for over 10 years. He has supported us through a period of significant growth, development and investment. He has our very best wishes for the future and we are very pleased that he will be staying on to assist through the transitional period."

"With his wealth of financial and business experience Peter is well placed to support the further development of the Group. I look forward to welcoming him to the Board and working closely with him."

Except as disclosed below, no further information in relation to Peter Bream is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.

Pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13; Peter Bream was Finance Director of a UK listed company, Provalis plc, from 1 July 2003 to 31 March 2006. Provalis plc was put into solvent liquidation through a members' voluntary liquidation procedure on 15 September 2006.
