United Carpets Group plc Director's Shareholding United Carpets Group plc ("the Company") announces that on 24 October 2006 itwas informed that on that date Ian Bowness, the finance director of the Company,and his wife each acquired 443,104 ordinary shares in the Company at 11p pershare. Following this acquisition, Mr Bowness is interested in 966,208 ordinary shares,representing 1.2 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
