TouchStar Technologies launches

TouchPC Hawk and secures first order

Belgravium Technologies plc,AIM: BVM the designer and supplier of computing solutions and services for the mobile computing market, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Touchstar Technologies has launched the TouchPC Hawk, a rugged Touch Tablet computer terminal and has secured the first orders for 250 devices to be delivered during the second half of 2012.

The TouchPC Hawk was initially designed for Touchstar Technologies' clients involved in the fuel distribution industry but its advanced features mean it has a wide number of applications in many other sectors where there is a need for a rugged touch-tablet able to deliver maximum computing power on the move with very low lifetime costs.

Using advanced and secure radio technology the units can operate using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or 3G-HSPA radio technology to give very fast data transfer capabilities and can be configured and used for a wide range of applications such as vehicle safety checks, equipment checks, inventory controls, diagnostics, signature capture as well as real time voice and the transfer of data such as schedule updates, queries and the delivery data

The tablets have a lightweight polycarbonate plastic alloy casing with a touchscreen to provide full protection against dust, water and oil ingress is fully compliant with the ATEX IEC Ex, allowing safe use even in potentially explosive environments.
