Tower Resources plc (the "Company" or "Tower" (TRP.L, TRP LN)), the AIM listed Africa focussed oil and gas exploration company announces that Mr Peter Blakey, Non-Executive Director, has decided to retire from the Board and will therefore not stand for re-election at the Company's next AGM expected to be held in April 2016.

Mr Blakey, 75, was a founder of Tower in 2005 and has been influential in the start-up and development of a number of successful companies in the oil & gas sector during his career.

Commenting on Mr Blakey's retirement, Jeremy Asher, Chairman, stated that "Peter has played a great role in the Company's development and we are all extremely grateful for all he has done. He leaves us with a newly strengthened Board and a great new licence in a proven basin in Cameroon to appraise and develop. Graeme Thomson, CEO, stated "Peter has been a wonderful colleague and has worked tirelessly for shareholders over many years. We wish him every happiness and good health".
