Notification of transactions by Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities and Person Closely Associated with them
Tate & Lyle PLC (the ‘Company’) was informed yesterday that on 12 September 2017 Javed Ahmed, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities, exercised 419,403 nil-cost options over ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company (‘Shares’), in accordance with the ‘Compensatory Award – A’ that was granted to him on 28 October 2009, full details of which are set out in the Annual Report 2009. 197,812 Shares were sold at 661.60 pence per Share on the London Stock Exchange to cover Mr Ahmed’s tax liabilities and sale costs.
Mr Ahmed retained the remaining Shares and subsequently transferred a total of 317,718 Shares to a joint holding with Mrs Ahmed, a person closely associated with him. Mr Ahmed now holds an interest in a total of 3,416,568 Shares in the Company.
