Board changes

Synthomer plc ('Synthomer' or 'the Company') is pleased to confirm that following its announcement on 18th November, Calum MacLean will formally succeed Adrian Whitfield as Group Chief Executive on 22nd January 2015.

Adrian Whitfield will also step down from the Board on the 22nd January and leave the Company after helping with a handover process.

The Company also announces that David Blackwood, Group Finance Director, has informed the Board that he wishes to retire following 7 successful years at Synthomer. David will remain as Group Finance Director, working closely with Calum MacLean until his successor is found.

The Board will initiate a comprehensive search for the next Group Finance Director and a further announcement will be made in due course.

Neil Johnson, Chairman, said:

On behalf of everyone at Synthomer, I would like to thank David for his years of service. He has had a long and distinguished career in the chemicals industry and played a pivotal role helping to oversee the significant transformation of our business. We wish him all the best in his retirement."
