Yule Catto & Co PLC20 February 2006 Yule Catto & Co plc Appointment of Chief Executive Designate Yule Catto is an international producer of speciality chemicals, which aresupplied to global customers, ranging from manufacturers of medical gloves,paint and adhesives to the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industries Alex Walker, Chief Executive for the past 20 years, will reach normal retirementage for Yule Catto senior executives in August 2006. The Board of Yule Catto &Co plc ("Yule Catto") is therefore pleased to announce that Adrian Whitfieldwill join the Board on 1st March 2006 as Chief Executive Designate. Mr Whitfield, aged 44, has a considerable industrial and internationalbackground, latterly as Chief Executive of the plastics division of D.S. Smithplc and prior to that as Vice President, European Operations, of CrownSimplimatic. His early industrial experience was gained with ICI Chemicals and Polymers,later applied and broadened as a consultant to manufacturing companiesthroughout Europe. He holds a BSc Hons. in mechanical engineering from ImperialCollege, London and is a member of The Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
