AGM Statement
Solid State plc (AIM: SSP), the AIM listed supplier of industrial/ruggedised computers, specialist electronic components and battery power solutions to the electronics market, is pleased to announce that at today's Annual General Meeting to be held at 11:00am at the offices of Solid State plc, 2 Ravensbank Business Park, Hedera Road, Redditch, Worcestershire B98 9EY, the Chairman, Gordon Comben, will make the following statement.
"Solid State has made a confident start to the current financial year. Our niche sectors have shown good resilience supported by the global demand for our products.
The relocation of Solid State Supplies from Paddock Wood to new purpose built facilities in Redditch has been completed without disruption. This timely move offers greater internal efficiency, will allow the development of added value services in-house (such as taping and reeling and device programming) and gives Solid State an excellent platform for further growth of its specialist electronic components division.
While the Board of Solid State is mindful of the challenging economic conditions it remains optimistic over the prospects for the Company and looks forward to updating the market in due course."
