S.N.G.N. ROMGAZ S.A. informs its shareholders and investors with respect to some statements made during the TV programme "Romania la Apel" on January 28, 2023, link https://www.realitatea.net/stiri/actual/gazele-din-marea-neagra-ajung-in-ungaria-romania-a-cumparat-un-zacamant-cu-gazul-deja-vandut-document-bomba_63d5975d5f364125966aae12 :

By virtue of the right to reply and the accurate information of the public opinion, as regards the information presented during the TV programme "România la Apel" on January 28, 2023, in connection with the transaction to acquire all shares issued by (representing 100% of the share capital of) ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania Limited, which holds 50% of the rights and obligations under the Petroleum Agreement for the deep water area of XIX Neptun offshore block in the Black Sea, we make the following statement:

With the acquisition of the participating interest in Neptun Deep block, neither S.N.G.N. ROMGAZ S.A. nor its affiliate ROMGAZ Black Sea Limited (the new name of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Romania Limited after ROMGAZ acquired the company's shares) took over contracts for the sale or purchase of gas related to the participating interest in Neptun Deep block (or from other sources).

For clarity purposes, we would like to state that:

Ø Neither S.N.G.N. ROMGAZ S.A. nor its affiliate ROMGAZ Black Sea Limited have concluded contracts or have ongoing contracts for the sale of natural gas related to the participating interest in Neptun Deep block;

Ø Natural gas related to Romgaz participating interest in Neptun Deep block shall be traded incompliance with legal and corporate provisions applicable to this project.

In conclusion, we consider that the statements made on "România la Apel" on Saturday, January 28, 2023 on this subject, are completely unfounded and false.
