Royal Mail plc (the Company) announces that it has been advised that Peter Long who is currently Chairman of Countrywide plc is to become Executive Chairman following the resignation of the Countrywide plc Chief Executive Officer and until such time a successor is appointed. Peter's appointment as Executive Chairman of Countrywide plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange, is subject to regulatory approval.
