APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
Powerflute Oyj ("Powerflute" or "the Group") which operates paper mills in Kuopio, Finland and Lenningen, Germany is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ulrich Sheufelen, 65, as director effective from 28 April 2009.
Dr. Scheufelen was previously a member of the board and the principal shareholder of Papierfabrik Scheufelen since 1979, which was acquired by Powerflute in January 2009.
Papierfabrik Scheufelen was put into administration in July 2008. Dr Scheufelen was at that time a non executive director of the company.
Dr. Scheufelen currently holds 1,000,000 ordinary shares in Powerflute representing 0.69% of total voting rights.
There are no further disclosures required under paragraph (g), Schedule Two of the AIM Rules for Companies.
