Plant Health Care (AIM: PHC) today announces that Paul Schmidt will step down as CEO of the Company to pursue new opportunities. Mr. Schmidt will remain in his position until 30 November 2016 in order to facilitate a smooth transition. The Board has commenced a process for the appointment of a new CEO of the Company and, in the meantime, Dr Christopher Richards, Executive Chairman, will serve as Interim CEO.
Dr Richards commented "Paul has made a substantial contribution to Plant Health Care over the last three and half years. The Company is now well positioned with our exciting new PREtec synthetic peptide technology and is also focused on growing sales of existing products at a brisk pace. We have a strong team in place, which is driving the implementation of our strategy with skill and speed. While we search for a successor to Paul, I look forward to working with the Company's customers, partners and staff to ensure that we deliver on our commitments to all stakeholders."
