Vislink PLC30 July 2007 Vislink plc Acquisition of Focus Communications Inc Vislink plc ("Vislink" or the "Group") announces the acquisition of FocusCommunications, Inc, trading as Western Technical Services ("WTS") for a maximumcash consideration, dependent on performance, of $5.5 million (£2.7m). WTS, based in Orange County, California, specialises in the design andinstallation of video and data microwave communications, Electronic NewsGathering (ENG), Airborne Law Enforcement (ALE), cellular and PCS, satellite,video surveillance, fibre optics and site control systems. WTS has been a ValueAdded Reseller (VAR) representing Microwave Radio Communications since itsformation in 1990. WTS currently employs circa 20 people. The founders andmanagement team are all remaining to expand the business substantially followingthe acquisition. A key part of the Group's strategy is to create incremental long-term recurringrevenue opportunities by building a US Technical Services business through bothorganic and acquisition led growth. The acquisition of WTS will enhance servicerevenues from both the domestic US BAS relocation project and the Defence, LawEnforcement and Security markets as well as providing recurring revenues as thebroadcast market moves towards contracted out services.
