TheΒ Company wasΒ notifiedΒ onΒ 13Β NovemberΒ 2008Β that following recent purchases Saad Investments Company Limited now holdsΒ 77,676,364Β ordinary shares in the Company representing approximatelyΒ 42.21%Β of the Company's ordinaryΒ issuedΒ share capital.
Petra Diamonds Limited is a Bermuda registered company and as such is not subject to the Takeover Code and accordingly there is no obligation for a mandatory offer underΒ theΒ RulesΒ of the Takeover Code by any shareholder increasing their holding above 30% of the Company's issued share capital.
