Appointment of Group Finance Director
Oxford Instruments plc, a leading provider of high-technology tools and systems for industry and research, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gavin Hill as Group Finance Director and to the Board of Directors, effective from 9 May 2016. This follows the announcement on 27 October 2015 of Kevin Boyd's decision to resign from the Group in order to take up the role of Finance Director of Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc on 11 April 2016.
Gavin Hill was Group Finance Director of Synergy Health plc from April 2010 until the successful combination with STERIS Corporation on 3 November 2015. He is currently retained to assist with the integration of the two companies. Prior to that he was Corporate Finance Director of Serco Group plc where he held a number of senior finance and commercial positions. Prior to joining Serco, Gavin worked in a variety of finance and corporate treasury roles with Syngenta AG and AstraZeneca plc. Gavin is a Chartered Accountant and an associate member of the Institute of Corporate Treasurers.

There are no further details to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
Oxford Instruments expects to announce its results for the year ending 31 March 2016 on 15 June 2016.
