Ovoca Gold PLC31 July 2006 OVOCA GOLC PLC CHANGES TO THE OVOCA GOLD BOARD Monday 31 July 2006 Ovoca Gold Plc (AIM: OVG; IEX: OVX) wishes to announce the following boardchanges that were effective from 28 July 2006: Mr Rowan Maule has been appointed to the board of the Company. Mr. Maule iscurrently the Chief Operating Officer in the Company, focussing on thedevelopment of Ovoca's Goltsovoye silver deposit in eastern Russia. As a miningengineer, Mr Maule will bring additional technical skills to the board. Mr John O'Connor takes over the role of Chief Financial Officer. Mr O'Connor isa Chartered Accountant and has been with the Company since 1997. Mr Paul Smithwick, Mr. Harry Dobson and Mr. Danesh Varma have resigned from theboard. Commenting on the Board changes Ovoca Gold Chairman, Roger Turner, said, Following the acquisition of the Goltsovoye Project in Russia in June of thisyear, at which time Leonid Skoptsov, Mikhail Mogutov and Yuri Radchenko becameNon Executive Directors, Ovoca needed to strengthen the Executive of the Boardand I would like to welcome Rowan Maule as Chief Operating Officer and JohnO'Connor as Chief Financial Officer. Rowan is an experienced mining engineer andhas been working on Goltsovoye for the past 12 months. He is directlyresponsible for bringing the Goltsovoye mine into production. John O'Connor, inaddition to the role of Secretary, is now the full time Chief Financial Officerbased in the London office and responsible for the commercial and financialaffairs of Ovoca and it's subsidiaries in Kola, Magadan, and Sweden.
