Trading Update
At the time of the Company's interim results to 31 October 2008, announced on 17 December 2008, the Board highlighted that the forecast for the remainder of the year was difficult to predict due to the prevailing depressed economic climate, and that the timing of new business opportunities was uncertain. As has been widely reported on since the Company published its interim results, the economic climate has not improved. Although the general level of working with customers on projects and tendering has remained high overall, the economic situation in the country has stopped customers from signing off on orders which we believe would otherwise have been received. The Company therefore anticipates that operating profit for the year ended 30 April 2009 should not be less than £1.4 million.
Maurice Dwek, Chairman, commented "markets have continued to be difficult with customers looking to delay certain projects and generally being more conservative in their investment plans. However, we have a strong portfolio of products and an excellent reputation in our chosen fields and firmly believe that prospects for the longer term remain encouraging.
The Company anticipates announcing its final results for the year ended 30 April 2009 in mid July 2009.
