Hofstra University has awarded an honorary doctorate to Julio A. Portalatin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies. Mr. Portalatin was the keynote speaker at Hofstra’s ceremony this past Sunday in Hempstead, New York, in which graduate students received Masters and PhD degrees.
