Morgan Sindall secures position on £1 billion iESE framework

Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that Morgan Sindall, its construction and infrastructure division, has been reappointed to the Improvement and Efficiency South East (iESE) framework.

Morgan Sindall has been appointed on all four frameworks bands covering projects from £1 million in value to over £25 million and will compete with seven other contractors on the four-year framework.

The iESE framework is available for use by public sector organisations across the South East to procure major building works. Projects will include the complete spectrum of new build and refurbishment schemes in education, health and community buildings such as libraries and sports facilities.

Although the absolute value of the framework is not determined at the outset, it is expected to be in the region of £1 billion. Its predecessor framework delivered contracts valued in excess of £1.5 billion, with Morgan Sindall securing 45 projects worth over £225 million.

This latest framework appointment follows shortly after Morgan Sindall has secured positions on a £100 million construction framework in Milton Keynes, the £1.2 billion framework programme of upgrades and improvements for Gatwick Airport, a £400 million schools framework in South East Wales and the £500 million Smarte East Alliance construction framework.

Paul Smith, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall Group plc, said:

"Morgan Sindall worked successfully under the previous iESE framework and our reappointment is testament to the quality of construction we delivered. We look forward to extending our relationships with the public sector bodies that use the framework and further cementing our reputation in the region over the course of the next four years."
