MicroEmissive Displays Group PLC29 December 2005 Embargoed until 7am 29 December 2005 Microemissive Displays Group plc ("MED" or "the Company") Shipment of First Product Microemissive Displays Group plc, the AIM listed designer and manufacturer oflow-power light emitting polymer displays, announces the first shipment of itsproduct. The Company has now shipped the first batch of a multiunit order fordistribution into Asia. This first fulfilment is confirmation of the improvementin manufacturing yield, which had previously prevented the Company achievingefficient mass production manufacturing. MED's proprietary enabling technology is the first example of silicon and anorganic substance working together and is used to produce high-resolution imageswith low power requirement on microdisplays, making the product ideal for 'nearto eye' mobile technologies. This first order will see the displays used in 'night scopes' for the leisureand sports markets and the Company expects this to be a key area in the initialstages of the commercialisation of the product. The Company also seesopportunity in the near to eye mobile entertainment and communication handsetmarkets going forward.
