McBride PLC30 October 2007 30 October 2007 McBride plc Interim Management Statement McBride plc, Europe's leading provider of private label household and personal care products, which holds its 2007 Annual General Meeting today, provides its first Interim Management Statement for the period from 1 July to 29 October 2007, as required under the UK Listing Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules. Group revenues compared to the equivalent period last year have increased by 24%reflecting a first time contribution from recent acquisitions and modest organicgrowth. The organic growth is supported by continued progress in both categorymanagement and new product development. In terms of the geographic split of revenues, UK has increased by 13%, WesternContinental Europe has increased by 35% and Eastern Continental Europe hasincreased by 29%. The acquisitions in 2006/7 in Continental Europe and in the UK have beenintegrated effectively and are performing in line with our expectations. Consistent with previous comments, the outlook for raw material costs is forfurther increases. We continue to focus on passing on a proportion of thesecosts in addition to improving our cost base through ongoing operationalefficiencies and rationalisation, particularly with the newly acquiredbusinesses. Overall, we expect to continue to make good progress and to explore furtheropportunities to grow in our key product categories in the current financialyear.
