Maintel Holdings PLC28 September 2006 Maintel Holdings Plc (the 'Company') Acquisition of own shares The Company announces that, pursuant to its general authority granted byshareholders of the Company on 20 April 2006 to make market purchases of its ownshares, the Company made on market purchases of 290,000 ordinary Shares of 1pence each ("Ordinary shares") at 180 pence per Ordinary Share on 27 September2006 (to be cancelled).
