AGM Statement, Contract Awards and Trading Update

At the AGM of the Group, to be held at 12:00 p.m. today, Michael Rusch, Chairman, will make the following statement regarding new contracts and current trading:

"Ladies and gentlemen I am delighted to be able to report that our lighting subsidiary, LPA Excil Electronics, has: 

v been chosen by Siemens to supply our LumiMatrix Chip LED light engine for their Inspiro metro train for the Munich project worth £0.6m; and

v won a further order for its LumiMatrix LED based light engine with business partner Hadar Lighting, who are specialists in lighting for hazardous areas and are a division of the A-Belco group of companies.

 "The Group has continued to make progress. Orders and sales are ahead of the first four months in the last financial year. Sales in February 2012 were also strong, giving us increased confidence of good progress at the half year and for the year as a whole.

"We have a good factory load for delivery this financial year, and next, and there are many significant opportunities, particularly for LED based lighting, which we are vigorously pursuing. We continue to operate well within our banking facilities.

"We are close to completing due diligence on the acquisition of alternative premises in Saffron Walden, which will facilitate the relocation of our Saffron Walden activities and the sale of our existing premises. We expect shortly to submit an outline planning application for change of use for our present site to residential and we are in discussion with potential purchasers regarding its sale."
