APPOINTMENT OF MARKETING DIRECTOR
JJB Sports is pleased to announce the appointment of Debbie Robinson as Marketing Director. Debbie joins the team with over 25 years retail experience and a passion for sport.
Debbie's appointment completes the JJB Sports Operating Board which will work with the Executive Directors and play a central part in the Group's turnaround plan.
The Operating Board will now comprise the following people: Ron Rome, Retail Director; Paul Mitford, HR and Training Director; Kate Hayes, Trading Director; and Debbie Robinson, Marketing Director.
Debbie was the Director of Food Marketing at The Co-operative Group where she created and delivered the "good with food" campaign. Debbie worked in a number of roles in buying and marketing across the food business which last year had annual sales of £8bn. As the Director of Food Marketing she had responsibility for the brand strategy, store formats, own-brand development and all customer communications including TV advertising.
Commenting on Debbie's appointment, Keith Jones, Chief Executive, said:
